Sometimes the terms we use to describe our solutions are unfamiliar. No worries, below we have our VSG Lingo defined to better our communication with you!

Action Plan - An Action Plan is a strategically designed and automated series of marketing events that instigates the distribution of messages that are relevant to a customer in terms of timing, content, presentation, and media channel in order to best illicit a response. An Action Plan may consist of one marketing event or multiple marketing events executed in a predetermined sequence. A company can have one Action Plan or multiple Action Plans for varying marketing initiatives.

AMS (Automated Marketing Solution) - A state-of-the-art, web-based and fully automated marketing and client management system that integrates marketing strategy, database management, automated marketing action plans and digital variable data technology. AMS effectively executes true one-to-one marketing. It manages sales and marketing efforts, automatically generating quality print and email marketing so that sales teams can focus on staying in front of new customers (as well as in touch with current customers). AMS eliminates the need for clients to spend time writing letters, creating or executing follow up, or coming up with creative ways to generate new business from their previous customer base.

Account Manager - Dedicated person from VSG to answer questions or address technical difficulties and assistance.

Asset Bucket - A group of custom images, graphics, and text are contained in one place for you to selectively choose to incorporate in your collateral when creating on-demand marketing from your own online library of marketing materials.

Automation - The technique, method, or system of operating or controlling a process by highly automatic means, as by electronic devices, reducing human intervention to a minimum.

Contact Fields - Details entered into the AMS system pertaining to the contact, that are specific and pertinent to a unique marketing action plan. This information is in addition to the more general Contact Information.

Contact Information - Basic vital statistics and information on each contact or target (ie. name, address, phone, cell phone).

Content/Copy - Sales and marketing text contained within marketing literature.

Database management - A collection of data on each contact is formatted and used in the same manner to maintain consistency with housing and use of that data. AMS is a source for database management.

Digital Variable Data Technology - Digital variable data technology pulls specific data collected within a database (i.e. AMS) and then inserts that data into pre-determined fields within customized marketing pieces to create a true 'one-to-one' marketing message. The digital variable data printing and email process allows for mass communication via multiple unique documents, as opposed to using only one document to try to reach everyone.

Direct Mail Marketing - Marketing directly to a contact through printed mail pieces in the form of postcards, letters, brochures, etc.

Email Marketing - Using electronic mail to distribute sales and marketing information.

Marketing Event - Contained within an action plan, a marketing event automatically initiates a project response from Vision Service Group that results in a printed and mailed marketing piece or an email delivered to an inbox.

Marketing Piece - Marketing literature distributed in tangible form which includes email marketing and direct mail marketing.

Media Channel - The channel of distribution of advertising and/or marketing pieces to reach a target audience or contact (ie. email, mail, billboard, tv/radio).

Password - Unique "word" made up of letters, symbols, numbers to effectively login to the VSG Technology Suite system. A User may reset a password by selecting the Admin icon.

Presentation - The overall appearance of a marketing piece through use of graphic design and text/image layout.

Print Marketing - Color and/or B&W printed materials (which may be mailed or used as handouts) to give a customer something tangible.

Project Response - Triggered from a Marketing Event or Action within an Action Plan, the project response notifies the print, mail, and/or email service (Vision Service Group) that a marketing piece is due to be delivered.

Response - Desired action by the User of the contact once they have received a marketing piece (ie. Contact calls user or emails user or visits website).

Sold Action Plan - Action plan to be initiated upon completion of a sale. Sphere Action Plan - Action plan with existing clients for the purpose of maintaining intentional communication.

Storefront - Your online personal library of marketing collateral ensures your marketing is simple, consistent, and effective. Using your own designed marketing pieces, you can deploy one or hundreds of customized and personalized pieces to your customers. Send a greeting card, email a critical announcement, or print your presentation folder for your upcoming meeting. Deliver one-to-one marketing that creates lasting partnerships for your business. Includes: print, mail, an electronic download option, as well as variable integration of customer data into personalized marketing material, and approval management options.

Timing - Pre-determined time span between marketing pieces and actions executed within each Action Plan (also referred to as 'days plus').

Unsold Action Plans - Often referred to as prospecting or pre-sale plans, this is the series of actions to be completed in an effort to move a contact toward completing a sale.

User - The person using the VSG Technology Suite system as their marketing solution, like YOU!

Username - Unique name that corresponds to a password to instigate login accurately. Username is assigned by the AMS administrator or account manager.

User profile - A pre-determined allocation of assets, resources, functions, and collateral that directly correlate with a particular individual, service, department, or division. Each sales person has a profile or each department has a profile or each location has a profile.
